Our Contribution to Sustainability

At Catchup Applications, we believe that small companies also bear responsibility for the climate, which is why we have committed to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040 at the latest.

We rely on concrete changes in our everyday work rather than grand promises: how we travel, which devices we buy, where our software runs and how we track our energy consumption. Our commitment covers our direct emissions, our electricity and heat consumption as well as key indirect emissions such as business travel, commuting and waste.

Where We Start

For us, climate action happens in everyday life: in our electricity, our hosting, our travel and on the way to the office. Here we show what we actually do.

Green Electricity

Electricity and heat are among our largest sources of emissions. That is why we pay attention to energy efficiency and renewable electricity. Step by step, this makes our workplace more climate-friendly.

Sustainable Hosting

When choosing our hosting provider, we take energy efficiency and environmental performance into account. We avoid unnecessary computing power, storage and data processing wherever possible.

CO2 Offsetting

Emissions we cannot yet avoid today, we intend to offset in future through certified climate protection projects. We are currently building the necessary data basis and evaluating providers with recognised quality standards.

Saving Energy

Often it is the small things: we use energy-saving modes on our devices and switch off whatever is not currently needed. We maintain and repair our computers so that they stay in use for as long as possible.

Business Travel

Many conversations work just as well online, which is why we prefer to meet our customers digitally whenever that suits their needs. If a trip is necessary, we take the train rather than the plane wherever practicable and bundle appointments on site. This saves emissions and often time as well.

Remote Work and Commuting

Not every working day has to take place in the office. We enable flexible working wherever it is compatible with our work and support our team in getting to the office with low emissions. Fewer commuting kilometres mean less CO2 and a better quality of life.
