Our Story
Interview
The hospital is in the middle of a major renovation – and at the same time, everyday life must continue to function smoothly.
Lukas Haberleitner, consultant for collegial leadership at the Ordensklinikum Linz Barmherzige Schwestern, ensures that construction work and clinic operations are optimally intertwined. A central topic: flexible, intelligent routing for employees and patients.
Could you tell us a little about yourself? What role do you have in your hospital?
“Gladly! My name is Lukas Haberleitner, and I am a consultant for collegial leadership at the Ordensklinikum Linz Barmherzige Schwestern. Our hospital is currently in the middle of an extensive renovation and new construction project. In my role, I am responsible for coordinating between the construction project and the hospital processes to ensure that the construction work does not interfere with the daily operations of the hospital. An important aspect of this is the adaptation of the routing so that all important areas remain easily accessible during the construction phase.”
What motivated you to implement a navigation app for visitor guidance?
“The motivation behind the implementation of the navigation app was to enable better orientation in the hospital. Our hospital has an area of around 100,000 square meters, which does not always make it easy to find your way around. Since many routes are changing due to the extensive construction projects, a digital navigation system was introduced that guides patients, visitors and employees unerringly through the house on their smartphones.”
Why did you choose us?
“We chose Catchup Applications because their solution was the best fit for our needs. Their digital navigation system offers a user-friendly interface and the ability to react quickly to changes, which is particularly important for us in this rebuild phase. The big advantage of your solution is its flexibility. If, for example, a station is relocated due to construction work, the digital routing can be adapted to the new conditions within a very short time. In addition, we have also received recommendations from another hospital in Upper Austria about the company Catchup, which has further strengthened our decision.”
How did you experience the implementation of the project?
“The implementation of the project went very smoothly. Their team was always helpful and professional, and we were able to complete the project within the planned timeframe. The cooperation was really pleasant. The ongoing support also works excellently, and we receive support very quickly when we have any concerns.”
Would you recommend us to the other hospitals?
“Yes, definitely! We are very happy with the navigation system and the support we have received through Catchup. I would recommend your solution to any hospital that wants to improve its routing.”
Do you have any feedback or suggestions for improvement?
“Overall, we are very enthusiastic about the indoor navigation system. One potential improvement would be expanded integration with other hospital information systems to provide an even more seamless user experience.”
